Lanercost Priory
The Priory was founded around 1166
by Henry the second.
In the North Aisle
are
a further three
stained glass windows
again by
Sir Edward Burne-Jones.
The Priory also boasts an excellent tea room with local produce.
Naworth Castle
dates back to the 14th century.
This beautiful castle has been occupied by the Howard family for hundreds of years
and Elisabeth and Philip
are the current custodians.
Philip is also the owner of a
classic MGB Roadster.
